This year’s program
Theodor Kittelsen (1857-1914) is Norway’s best loved painter.
Jan Erik Vold has said that “without this artist, Norway would not have been Norway”. Theodor Kittelsen has taught us to see the troll in nature. It is astounding. We start wondering – and our imagination takes hold of us – creating adventures and stories. He and we have been spellbound by the scenery.
Blaafarveværket will be marking the centenary of his death with a series of exhibitions during 2014. For more information, please contact Sverre Følstad (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone +47 32 77 84 87 or +47 95 76 76 91.
We hope that Kittelsen is remembered, honoured and promoted by being acknowledged both at home and abroad:
